Friends & Family: Lord & Du Plooy

Nathan is a master picture framer, originally from Lancashire and now living in Hackney. MCO was keen to work with and shoot Nathan and this age old craft at his workshop. He set up Lord & Du Plooy in 2014, in a tiny loftspace above a friend's gallery. Originally training at London's famous John Jones, Nathan and his partner Dom are now working with some of the most important galleries and collectors in the country.

Equally, however, Nathan genuinely cares about his trade, is a total perfectionist, and is always seeking to learn and push himself further along with hard graft, day in day out. The embodiement of a craft and grafter. MCO's DNA through and through. Welded frames are currently his favourite new thing and his welder his favourite new toy.
